Thank you to everyone who joined LDT for the premiere of Wingéd on Sunday afternoon. We can't wait to do it all over again this coming Sunday, March 4. Join us for an encore presentation of Wingéd at the brand-new performing arts center at the Monroe Township High School (200 Schoolhouse Road, Monroe) at 4:00pm. This will be the last chance to see Wingéd in its entirety this season! Tickets are still available at brownpapertickets.com or you can purchase at the door. If you missed the preview article in the Star Ledger by Robert Johnson, you can read it here.

As the company has been busy in the theatre, Education Director Lees Hummel has been prepping for a busy March. The LDT Ensemble will be giving their first out-of-studio performance for seniors at the Stonegate Francis Parker Assisted Living Home, followed soon after by a performance at Johnson & Johnson  Family Day at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital between 2-3PM on March 31st. And, next Tuesday, a handful of the professional dancers will travel to Westfield for an on-school time assembly program of Jump, Frog, Jump and other works.

We are also eagerly anticipating the beginning of our educational residency in the Piscataway school district this month. LDT teaching artists have been diligently attending a series of professional development workshops, learning to execute the dance education curriculum developed by Young Audiences of NJ with a grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and adapted by our own Lees Hummel. Students in the four Piscataway elementary schools will receive eight consecutive weeks of dance education from our incredible artists! We anticipate this residency to be the first step toward a long relationship with the Piscataway School District that will bring dance education into the lives of hundreds of local public school students.
