The studio may seem quieter than normal with the company on break until the turn of the year, but we are busy planning for 2012. Keep reading for information about an acting workshop with David LeDoux, Yoga & Weight Loss "The New Year a New You" Seminar, and a new Adult Beginner Tap class. Congratulations to the LDT Ensemble on a fantastic first performance! The Ensemble, a performance group for students ages 12-18, made its debut during Fun Friday on November 18. Graham Lustig choreographed a new work for them to fit the season's Celtic theme. They will perform at the year-end show, Celtic Festival, and at community events throughout the year. LDT hosted its second Wellness Day on the 27th and participants learned about healing with flower essences, home remedies, acupressure, and more. There is another Wellness Day planned for the Spring, keep checking the website for info.

ACTING WORKSHOP WITH DAVID LeDOUX 12-Week Session on Sundays from January 15-April 1 Ages 9-12: 12:30-1:30pm Ages 13+: 1:30-2:30pm Pre-registration required by 1/10/2012.Returning Discover Dance Arts and currently registered LDT students receive a 10% discount. Session cost: $180. Try a FREE INTRODUCTORY ACTING WORKSHOP WITH DAVID on Saturday, December 10th, from 2-3PM. No experience necessary. Ages 10+. YOGA & WEIGHT LOSS "The New Year a New You" Seminar Fridays 5:30-7:00pm from January 20 - February 24 Keep your New Year's resolution to healthy living! This six-session seminar features education and discussions centering around issues that most people face after the holidays with regard to their healthy journeys. Includes Yoga class with poses that sculpt, detox and de-stress. Session cost: $100. Pre-Registration required by 1/15/2012. ADULT BEGINNER TAP CLASS Beginning January 4th on Wednesdays from 7-8pm. Taught by Avital Asuleen. Avital is a Manhattan based educator, choreographer, and performer. She's been tapping for over 15 years, and has trained extensively with Ray Hesselink and Randy Skinner. Avital began teaching over a decade ago, and has taught students of all skill levels from ages seven to seventy! Cost: Class cards $150 for 10 classes or $120 for 10 classes with a valid student id. |
