The Rusted Bucket Tavern is excited to host their 2nd Annual Beer-B-Que in downtown Burlington on September 29th. This year the fundraiser will benefit the Alamance County Chapter of Sertoma. This will also be a great opportunity to visit the Bucket and see their newly expanded location at 118 E. Davis Street.

Join the United Way of Alamance County as they host The Fabulous Lumpsters in downtown Burlington on Saturday, September 15th. The BDC is so excited for this year's concert to be held on Davis Street, adjacent to City Hall. We can't wait to see all the food, fun, and dancing taking place in the street.

Parking Study Schedule Announced 

The finalized schedule for the Downtown Parking Study has been announced. Please read below for a full account of what each date will entail: 
 
9/17/2012 - City Council Worksession 
7p.m., Room A/B of Kernodle Senior Center - The consultant from Carl Walker will present the draft parking plan to the City Council at their work session.
The public is invited to attend. 
 
10/18/2012 - Public Input Session 
6:30p.m., City Council Chambers at City Hall - A second public input forum will be held for members of the public to voice their opinions about the proposed parking plans.
Downtown business owners, property owners, and supporters are highly encouraged to attend this session. 
 
11/5/2012 - City Council Worksession
7p.m., City Council Chambers- A consultant from Carl Walker will deliver final recommendations to City Council and staff based off of conducted research and public input.
The public is invited to attend this session.

Phoenix Highway 
September 28th, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.   

Depot LawnCome downtown for the last concert in this year's Musical Chairs series at Friday's on Front. Phoenix Highway will be playing on the grassy area behind the depot on Friday, September 28th from 7p.m. - 9p.m. As always, this is a free concert and everyone is welcome! We hope to see you there!

All the produce, meat 
and goods sold at the farmers market are brought directly from the farm to you. All tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and grass-fed beef found at the market are produced locally, which means your purchase stays local! Stop by from 8a.m. - noon each Saturday morning in the parking lot between Webb Ave. and Front Street.
