Parking Study Schedule Announced

The finalized schedule for the Downtown Parking Study has been announced. Please read below for a full account of what each date will entail:

9/17/2012, 7p.m., Room A/B of Kernodle Senior Center - The consultant from Carl Walker will present the draft parking plan to the City Council at their work session. The public is invited to attend.

10/18/2012, 6:30p.m., City Council Chambers at City Hall - A second public input forum will be held for members of the public to voice their opinions about the proposed parking plans. Downtown business owners, property owners, and supporters are highly encouraged to attend this session.

11/5/2012, 7p.m., Kernodle Center - A consultant from Carl Walker will deliver final recommendations to City Council and staff based off of conducted research and public input. The public is invited to attend this session.

Outdoor Theater This Weekend at the Depot Amphitheater

The Alamance County Arts Council presents Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream under the night sky at the Depot Amphitheater. This is the last weekend to catch the show, so be sure not to miss out! Keep reading to see the full schedule for the weekend:

Friday, July 13th - 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, July 14th - 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, July 15th - 7:30 p.m.
 
Tickets can be purchased at the Paramount Theater Box Office Monday - Friday from noon - 3pm,
or by calling 222-8497. Tickets are $10 for seniors or children under 12, and $12 for adults.

Farmes Market logo Come check out the Burlington Downtown Farmers Market each Saturday morning from 8a.m. - noon! Farmers set up in the parking lot located between Webb Ave. and Front Street, behind the shops on Front Street.

All the produce, meat and goods sold at the farmers market are brought directly from the farm to you. All tomatoes, peppers, herbs, and grass-fed beef found at the market are produced locally, which means your purchase stays local!

If you're interested in becoming a vendor at the farmers market, please contact Market Manager Michael Touloupas by calling 336-260-2793 or visit the farmers market  website for complete bylaws and farmer applications.
 
Friday's on Front presents
Green Army Men   
July 27th, 7p.m. - 9p.m.   

Depot LawnCome hang out on the grassy lawn behind the depot on Friday, July 27th to hear the sounds of the The Green Army Men from 7p.m. - 9p.m. As always, this is a free concert and everyone is welcome!

The next concert is August 24th with the Mason Lovette Band. If you can't make it to July's showing, we hope to see you in August!
