Company Shops Market Grand Opening Saturday, June 11th The big day is almost here! At their Annual Owners Meeting held in March, Company Shops Market announced the day they'd officially be open for business. It's been a longtime coming, and the co-op is very excited to finally have a date on the calendar. Construction to the market is moving at a rapid pace. It seems each week a new milestone is reached. If you haven't had a chance to stroll by the building site, we highly encourage you to. Things are literally changing daily.
The market is also hoping to reach their goal of having 2,000 members before opening day. At last count, the number was at 1,971. If you haven't joined, now is definitely the time. Click below to find out how to become a member today.

Planters In Place Downtown Last Friday evening men on forklifts could be seen throughout downtown placing various planters along the sidewalks. While placement is still be finalized, all the circular and square pots will soon hold a variety of tropical flowers, plants and grasses. Some have already been planted. The BDC will be working in conjuntion with the New Leaf Society and the City of Burlington to plant and maintain the greenery. It's a very exciting project that we hope will add much beauty to our transitioning downtown.
You may also have noticed new banners throughout the Downtown area. Due to a manufacturers error, some of the banners will be taken down and hung once a bracket mechanism is corrected. Upon completion, there will be green, purple and black banners saying "Come Grow With Us" throughout the area. Many parking banners have already been placed in lots that offer free parking. Look out for them when coming downtown.
We hope you enjoy all the new color! |
