Burlington Downtown Corporation Update
January 20th - Febuary 3rd

Greetings!

Happy New Year! The BDC is looking forward to many great things happening throughout 2011. We recently received the second batch of grant applications for our Small Grants Program. There were many great projects so be sure to stay tuned for award announcements in the near future.

In the mean time, we've welcomed a new diner to the area, celebrated the launch of this year's Alamance Reads program and look forward to a weekly concert series at the Rusted Bucket. Read below for more information!

Check Out Bands Each Friday at the
Rusted Bucket Tavern

rustedbucketLooking for something to do, but don't want to go very far? Check out the Rusted Bucket Tavern in Downtown Burlington.

Each Friday night, the bar will be hosting bands and musicians from all over the region. There's a wide variety of talent, so no matter your musical taste there's bound to be something for your enjoyment.

This Friday, area band Radar's Clowns of Sedation will being around 9pm. While their name might sound a little bizarre, their music is anything but. Taking cues from Tom Waits and utilizing an upright bass, the band has a unique yet accessible sound.

Next week, come downtown to hear the bluesy melodies of Extended Hill. These will be great shows, so come support local musicians and local businesses. Why not try some local beer while you're at it?

The Rusted Bucket Tavern is located at 118 E. Davis Street.
