European Qualification Tournament for the London 2012 to be live-streamed
The European Qualification Tournament for the London 2012 Olympic Games will kick off in the Palace of Martial Arts, Ak Bars, at Kazan, Russia, on January 27, 2012 for a three-day run.
The significance of the tournament cannot be overemphasized, because it will be the last chance to get a ticket to the London 2012 Olympic Games.
To better serve the increasing interest of the international media and taekwondo fans around the world, the World Taekwondo Federation will live-stream this event on its advanced WebTV platform,www.wtf-taekwondo.tv to deliver all the semi-finals, 3rd-place matches and finals as well as some of the preliminaries. A total of 120 athletes from 39 countries take part in the tournament, and only top three athletes in each weight category will be awarded a quota place for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The number of participating athletes has been changed from 119 to 120 due to Iceland's withdrawal of two athletes and new registration of three athletes of Romania.
