A Message From Our Founder
Dear SFF MCM/10K Community Athletes:
The countdown is on....we are ONE month away from the MCM and 10K!! Thanks to ALL of you for making the SFF the largest charity partner at this year's race!! Your support is so incredibly important to us and critical to ensuring that we meet the needs of our wounded and their families.
I'm just back from a DC trip and visit to Bethesda hospital and Walter Reed. These visits are so incredibility special and ALWAYS increase my passion for our mission of serving those who go in harm's way on our behalf. It is impossible to visit with these young 20 year olds who have now lost multiple limbs, significant brain injury, or now have shrapnel across their bodies without walking away dramatically affected. I was thinking of all of you and all you are doing right now to help the Semper Fi Fund raise financial support and increased awareness of the needs of our wounded. You have all sacrificed time, expended hours of sweat and sore muscles training for this important race for an incredibly noble cause.
We are FOREVER grateful to you and your team for helping us raise visibility and funding to support our critical mission. And, for REMINDING America that our young service members who have been injured while in the service to their country need our love and our unwavering support throughout their recovery!
I hope with every mile you log..... that you fully realize what a profound difference you are making in the lives of our wounded Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, Coast Guards, and their families!!
God Bless you each and every day!!! And, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for believing in this mission and jumping into help!!
Warmest Regards, Karen
