Team Spotlight--TJ Satterfield--IT Technician |
This month's employee focus is on T.J. Satterfield, a member of our IT Services Team. T.J. has always enjoyed computers, and working on and building PCs had become a hobby for him over the years. So, when he was laid off from his land surveying position, it was only natural for hi m to return to school to transform his hobby into a profession. After graduating from ECPI with an Associates Degree in Network Security, T.J. started his new career with Plus Inc. in our IT Services department. T.J. services computer systems and networks and also works with our copier and printer service department setting up scanning and printing for our customers.
One thing T.J. likes about his work is being able to learn about the cutting-edge technology in this rapidly changing industry. Understanding and enjoying the diversity of the products Plus Inc. provides, T.J. realizes that education is key when keeping up with our changing world. He recently received his MAC OS X Lion certification and would like to return to school to complete his Bachelor's degree in Network Security! T.J. explains, "I'm always up for a challenge. Each day, I am faced with something different. Challenges are fun, and I like being able to solve challenging problems." T.J. likes the team environment here at Plus Inc., and he understands that our team spirit carries over to our customers as we partner with them. He feels the most important aspect of his job is "being able to effectively communicate with customers to help them resolve their issues."
T.J.'s life outside of work has some of the same variety he has at work. From 2004 to 2011, he was a volunteer fireman in Northern Greenville County. He also likes to travel and has gone on several cruises. But his favorite thing is spending time at home with his wife, Kelly, and their cat and two dogs.
If you have any questions or comments for T.J.,please email him at tjs@plusinc.net or 864-242-9090. |
