Team Spotlight
David Eubanks--Service Technician |
 This month's employee focus is on David Eubanks. David joined the Plus Team in 2011 and has quickly become an outstanding asset to our copier service department. He describes himself as a "tinkerer," always enjoying "taking stuff apart and putting it back together." After excelling in a mechanical aptitude test, he landed a job in as an office equipment service technician, a natural fit for his natural abilities. We are pleased that David joined our team last year, and we are excited about the talents he brings. David's favorite aspect of the job is "getting to see new problems every day and being able to to find a resolution." He feels one of the most important parts of this job is "making sure (his) customers are properly taken care of." David takes ownership of his job and is dedicated to his customers and his teammates. David enjoys reading and being outdoors, and is also a self-proclaimed "sci-fi geek" with a love for Star Wars (seriously his personal email address includes the word "wookie"). He is also a family man with a strong relationship with God, and he loves spending time with his wife and new baby. David and his wife recently added to their family through adoption. David shared, "It was approximately a year from the start of our journey to the birth of our little girl. Our baby, Emersyn, was born in Springfield, MO on December 6th at 12:27pm. She is a true gift from God, and through much prayer was brought into our life. Our family is now complete with this addition." Congratulations to the Eubanks family! | Georgia's Groceries at Spencer's Spot |
The employees at Plus Inc. enjoy helping other in our community. One project that is near and dear to our hearts is food collection. We have several customers that provide non-perishable goods to people in need, and we have several employees whose churches have food pantries. As Thanksgiving of last year approached, our dispatcher, Heather, was helping her daughters, Georgia and Spencer, collect canned food items for both their school food drive and our Plus Inc. canned food drive. Spencer asked, "Don't people need food all year round? Why do we only collect food at Thanksgiving?" Wow...out of the mouth of babes! This comment sparked an idea!
Plus Inc. is now going to have a year-round non-perishable food pantry called "Georgia's Groceries at Spencer's Spot." Employees can bring in items all year long, and we can distribute to multiple non-profit organizations throughout the year. Thank you, Georgia and Spencer, for inspiring us to take our community service to a higher level. And thank you, Heather, for raising such thoughtful children. |
