Team Spotlight-John Campbell
This month's employee focus is on our Chief Financial Officer, John Campbell. John brings a variety of business knowledge and experience to the Plus team. John received his accounting degree from the University of South Carolina, and his career began with a national accounting firm where he obtained his CPA certificate. Over the years, he has worked in public accounting roles and in financial and administrative roles with companies in the building material, automotive, importing, stock brokerage, and computer software industries. John was originally hired by Plus Inc. as a financial management consultant, but joined the Plus team as a business partner and CFO in 2005 becoming a great asset to the company. John likes to see positive results. He describes the most important aspect of his job as "seeing a happy and successful company where employees enjoy their jobs and customers are satisfied with the products and services." Working behind the scenes, John is dedicated to helping Plus Inc. thrive, but he always makes sure to take the time to have fun with fellow employees. John enjoys outdoor activities and is very family-oriented. He enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. As a graduate of USC, he is also a devoted Carolina Gamecocks fan! |

Quick Tip: Saving Documents as PDF in Office 2007 and Office 2010

This may be old news for many, but a tip worth reviewing is that Microsoft Office 2007 has a great feature that gives the user the option to save a file as a PDF. Very useful if you need to email a new or existing file to someone that does not have a compatible version of Word, Excel, etc. The recipient only needs the free Adobe Reader or another PDF viewer to read your file.
To use the Save As PDF feature in Office 2007, you need to first install the add-in from Microsoft's Download Center. You can find it quickly by searching "PDF Word 2007 add-in" on either Bing or Google, or use this shortcut to the link:
After installing the add-in, you simply click on the "Save As" tab within an Office 2007 application and then click on Save As a PDF or XPS file. Name the file as desired and save to the desired folder location. Save As PDF is a built-in feature in Microsoft Office 2010 from initial installation of the suite. We hope you find the Save As PDF feature useful while moving through your daily workload. |
