Team Spotlight--Robert Bourguignon

Manager of IT Services

Plus Inc. is proud to introduce, or perhaps reintroduce, you to our IT Services Manager, Robert Bourguignon.  Robert, a self-described "geek", is an invaluable asset to our company.  Robert started his technical career in the U.S. Navy as a Fire Control Electronics Technician.  The RobertNavy taught him how to repair and troubleshoot the radar tracking systems as well as the computer that ran the radar and other electronic equipment.  A few years after exiting the Navy, Robert's actual PC service career started here at Plus Inc.  He worked here as a computer technician for six years before accepting an opportunity with a large auto interior manufacturer managing their servers and network infrastructure.  Enjoying challenges, Robert returned to Plus Inc. in 2009 to manage and grow our IT Service department.  The knowledge he initially gained with Plus combined with the network experience he gained at his last position have equipped Robert with a diversified skill set that enables him to help our customers on an unprecedented level.  Robert describes his favorite aspect of the job as "the challenge of finding the problem and then finding the solution to help the customer."  Robert explains that the most important aspect of his job is "listening to our customers needs and creating a computer based solution that makes their company and employees more productive" and then adds, "After all, isn't that why we have computers?"

When asked why he likes working for Plus Inc., Robert explains, "I really enjoy working for a family-oriented company, where they actually care about the employees and their customers.  People aren't just numbers here, and we are actually concerned about customers' businesses and how they're working."

Robert can be described as a "family man."  Robert's favorite things to do include spending time with his wife and children, camping, working in the yard and working with his church.

If you need computer or network service or are interested in finding computer-based solutions to increase your company's productivity, contact Robert by email at robertb@plusinc.net or

Customer Focus--

Child Evangelism Fellowship

This month our customer focus in on Child Evangelism Fellowship--Greenville/Piedmont District of South Carolina.  CEF is a Bible-centered worldwide non-denominational ministry dedicated to children's ministries around the world.  CEF Greenville/Piedmont District is an independent local

BJ Bateman, CEF District Director with David Carson of Plus Inc

chapter which began in 1987 and serves the children of Greenville, Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee Counties.  One of the ministries CEF promotes is Good News Clubs which are Bible clubs for boys and girls ages 5-12 which meet weekly in public elementary schools and community centers during the school year.  Each club provides an opportunity for children to learn Biblical truths and include strong discipleship training to build character and strengthen moral and spiritual growth.  In 2010, the Good News Clubs in the Greenville/Piedmont District enrolled 9,036 children and were assisted by 1,713 volunteers and helpers.  The Greenville/Piedmont District statistics show the 1/3 to 1/2 of the children enrolled in the Good News Club are unchurched.  With an increase in crime, violence, poverty and negative influences in our children's lives, the ministry that CEF provides is a much needed resource to encourage children and to teach them life-changing lessons.

On May 9-10, 2011, CEF will be holding its 7th Annual Golf Tournament at The Cliffs at Keowee Springs & Keowee Falls to help support the financial needs of the Good News Clubs and the Summer Clubs.  If you are interested in participating, please review their brochure by clicking on this link

Many families have been affected by unemployment and struggle to provide for their families.  The Carpenter's Table, located on Reidville Road in Moore, was formed in 2001 to  provide assistance to people suffering from food scarcity on the west side of Spartanburg County.  Not only does this organization distribute food, but they also provide information about nutritional and dietary issues.  On Saturday, February 19th, Team Plus and family members volunteered at The Carpenter's Table Community Outreach Center.  Our group helped distribute basic food items, personal hygiene products, pet food, etc.  Robert Bourguignon and his daughter regulary volunteer at the Outreach Center, and we were honored to be able to join them to help others in the community.
