 | Team Spotlight--Lindsay Phillips
Maintenance Billing Specialist | If Plus Inc. is your copier maintenance provider, chances are you have spoken with or corresponded with Lindsay Phillips. Lindsay is our Maintenance Billing Specialist, and she handles all aspects of billing and maintenance records for all of our customers who have equipment under a maintenance plan. Lindsay has been with Plus Inc. since 2008 and is a vital part of our day to day operations. Lindsay describes her favorite aspect of her job as getting to communicate with customers, and remarks "Being part of the administrative staff, I rarely get to meet customers face to face, so I enjoy getting to know some of them over the phone and talking with them each month". Like so many other Plus Inc. employees will tell you, Lindsay enjoys working for a company who values its employees. Lindsay explains "We are truly a 'family' here at Plus, and we try to keep that same attitude with our customers as well." When she is not with her "Plus Family", Lindsay spends time with her husband, Adam, and their dog, Rambo, and cat, Roxie. Lindsay's hobbies include baking/decorating cakes, playing sports, and spending time with family and friends. She is also an active member of Temple Baptist Church in Simpsonville. |
 | Computer Bytes--Robert Bourguignon
Manager of IT Services | Taking a proper inventory of your IT assets can be invaluable when assessing the future needs of your business. An inventory list gives you the opportunity to see what you have, what's being used, who's using it and how long it has been used. A good inventory list should show the details of each computer system:computer name, name of system user, user login nam e, hardware specifications (RAM, hard drive space, CPU), operating system installed, software installed, printer, and the date purchased. This information can help you make educated decisions about when to replace the system, whether upgrades are needed, or what programs can be removed to improve system performance.
In most cases, after a few years of use, computers become bogged down with un-needed and unused software making a formerly fast and reliable tool a hindrance to getting the job done. If your office is anything like the Plus Inc. office, your computer is the tool that makes your business run so knowing what you have and how it is being used is an important step in making your business run more efficiently. Call or email me today, and I can start the inventory process at your office, even if you are not a current customer. We will list every piece of computer-related equipment in your office even if it is not being used. With this information, we help you decide what needs to be done, if anything, to improve your equipment's efficiency and make that tool work better for you. |
 | Handy Service Tip #2--
Printing and Scanning
| Printing to your multifunction machine and scanning from your multifunction machine are fantastic features....until they fail to work! A common cause of printing and scanning failure is IP address changes. Network printers and scanners should always have a static IP address. If you have issues with printing and scanning, check with your IT department to see if any changes have been made. If no changes have been made, please contact Amy Wood at Plus Inc., and she will be more than happy to assist you!

You met Lindsay Phillips in the earlier article, and she is a passionate and dedicated person both at work and at home. One of her passions, breast cancer awareness, is a bit more personal because her Grandmother experienced this disease. Growing up seeing the amazing testimony of her Grandmother and seeing the effects of this disease made a lasting impression on Lindsay causing her to become active in raising awareness and money for breast cancer research. Inspiring others, Lindsay has coordinated a group from Plus Inc. to participate in the upcoming Komen SC Mountains to Midlands Race for the Cure to be held on September 25th. The "Team Plus" slogan is "Making Mammories while Saving Lives" and our goal is to raise $1,000 to support this great cause!
Please help us reach our goal with your financial support! Online donations are simple, and the site is secure. Please go to our team fundraising page and make a tax-deductible donation online at Team Plus Inc. If you prefer, mail your donation today to Plus Inc., PO Box 5643, Greenville, SC 29606, Attention: Lindsay Phillips. Please make your check payable to: Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and add Plus Inc. in the memo. We will drop off all donations collectively the week of the race. The deadline to have our donations collected is September 20, 2010.
Thank you in advance for your support. Please contact Lindsay if you have any questions about the Komen Race for the Cure or if you would like to join our team and race with us.
We appreciate all that Lindsay does both for our company and the community. Team Plus is excited about following our team captain as she honors her Grandmother's memory.
