Color Service Specialist |
Plus Inc. is proud to have served the Upstate of SC since 1958! We have remained locally owned and operated, and our employees work as a team but feel like a family. The family atmosphere is Barbara Dickson's favorite thing about working at Plus Inc. Barbara is our Graphic Color Specialist. She joined the Plus Team in 2006 and has been in the copier service industry for 21 years. She specializes in both Ricoh and Konica Minolta color systems and is Fiery Certified. She also holds an Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. As a Service Technician, she understands that sometimes little things can make all the difference to a customer. Barbara strives to maintain her customers' color equipment, enabling them to receive the highest possible efficiency. Barbara is always willing to go the extra mile for her customers and no task is too big or too small. She often helps by delivering toner to a customer or bringing their large print jobs back to the office to complete if their machine cannot be fixed immediately. She enjoys getting to know her customers on a personal level and has a great rapport with them as a result. Barbara states that the goal is "to please my customer no matter what it takes to make their day go more smoothly!" Barbara has been married to her best friend, Joe, for 34 years. They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, Connor and Emma, as well as their three "fur kids"--Boxers named Rambo, Cassie and Bear--whom they spoil rotten! Barbara's hobbies include reading, target shooting, going to yard sales, and fishing. |

Tip of the Month--Handy Service Tip #1 |
If your copier has an automatic document feeder (ADF) on the top, make sure to remove all paper clips, staples, and adhesive notes and flags (Post-it Notes) from the documents that you are copying. Also, make sure that correction fluids (i.e. Wite-out) are dry before making copies. Lines or spots on copies? The leading cause of lines or spots on copies is residue on the platen glass and/or the scanner glass. (see above note about correction fluids!). Before placing a service call for lines or spots, make sure that the glass is clean. Wipe down the glass and other surfaces with copier anti-static fluid or a glass cleaner. The best option is to spray the fluid onto the cloth instead of directly onto the glass. |
