Team Spotlight-Kim Contestable
Trainer/Color Specialist
Kim Contestable At Plus Inc., we are proud of the employment longevity of many of our employees.  Kim Contestable joined the Plus team in 1994 as part of our administrative team and has developed her position to become a Trainer and Color Specialist as part of our Professional Services team.  Kim credits her length of time with Plus Inc. to the family environment that has always been a part of our company's culture.  She points out, "The owners and managers are willing to listen to suggestions and ideas about how to improve business and strengthen customer relations.  They have allowed me to grow and move from my original position in administration to Professional Services/Customer Support.  I am in the process of learning more about production color so that I am better able to assist our "print for pay" customers to achieve the best possible results from their various machines."  Kim also enjoys learning about the advances and upgrades of new equipment so she can equip her customers to take advantage of every improvement at the earliest possible opportunity.

Many of you met Kim when she was training you to use your equipment.  Kim explains that one of her main goals while training is to make the customer's job easier so they will be completely satisfied with the purchase they have made.  She explains,"Some folks are worried that the new machines will be difficult to learn so I try to show them the easiest way to make use of a new product.  I even setup shortcuts on the copier so that they don't have to remember five steps when they can just as easily use two to accomplish the same function.  Training is generally accomplished in one or two sessions; I like to show the customer the basics on a products to get them started and make them feel comfortable and then do a follow-up in about a week to answer any questions that may have come up or help program any shortcuts they can use."

If you have questions about your equipment or are interested in additional training, please contact Kim at 864-242-9090 or email her at [email protected].

RobertRoutine Maintenance

One of the quickest and most effective ways to minimize major issues is to implement a routine and scheduled maintenance program.  With a proactive approach, every week/month/quarter, our technicians will perform maintenance on-site or through remote access to review your systems.  During this time, they will take care of normal system maintenance and notify you of any potential problems.  On their checklist will be the following items:

  • Virus Scan System Checks
  • Backup System Checks
  • Install any required Service Packs and Updates
  • Desktop PC Check-up
  • Review Server Event Logs
  • Power Failure Review
  • System Speed and Capacity Checks
  • Spyware and Spam Detection
  • Verify Firewall settings

With a scheduled maintenance plan in place, you will have peace of mind to know that your network and systems are operating at their peak.  When it comes to preventative maintenance, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. For more information, visit our website at www.plusinc.net or contact me, [email protected], directly for a consultation!
