Aloha!
It is so good to be back. Our parish pilgrimage was wonderful, but one of the great truths about pilgrimage is that it is always a great joy to return home. And for those who made the journey to Jerusalem, the pilgrimage did not end when the trip ended, but rather, the journey continues. Many of us continue to reflect on the experiences we had in the Holy Land, and this reflection will continue in the days, perhaps years, to come.
One of the joys of our journey has been to bring various items home for our church. Our sacristy is now stocked with incense from Bethlehem and Jerusalem, and this Sunday we will dedicate a chalice and paten for our Godly Play Room.
I want to thank everyone who ensured that everything went smoothly at St. Mark's. Thank you to all of our guilds, the choir, and office volunteers. Thank you to Fathers Dan, Darrow, Norio, Gaylord and Walter for their guidance and presence. Finally, a huge thank you to Suzanne Kagawa, our treasurer, and to Michael Ida, our senior warden. Our church was and continues to be in very capable hands, and we should all be grateful.
January is a time when we can slow down a bit at the church, especially after the rush of the holidays. We have our annual meeting on Sunday, January 22, but otherwise we simply continue with the daily activities of our church.
Blessings to you and your loved ones, Paul+

St. Mark's Episcopal Church is an inclusive church in the Anglo-Catholic tradition.
We are dedicated to sharing the good news of God in Christ through our celebration of the Sacraments, Liturgy, and Music, and by attending in Jesus' Name, to the needs of our members and the wider community. We are a welcoming ohana, cherishing our catholic and Hawaiian mission roots, and we rejoice in our diversity.
