Best Christmas Banner

22 December 2011

Aloha!

On behalf of myself and everyone at St. Mark's, let me be the first to wish all of you a very merry Christmas.  The Christmas liturgies are always so beautiful at St. Mark's, and this year will be no exception. The choir, ministers, acolytes, and others are working very hard to prepare.

It is with sadness, however, that I announce a death in our family.  Jayson and I have had to fly to the mainland due to the death of Jayson's stepfather. The funeral is at the end of this week.  Originally I had proposed to fly back to Honolulu on Saturday, arriving a couple of hours before our Christmas masses. Then I would be leaving Honolulu again with our pilgrimage to the Holy Land on Christmas Day evening. However, many people told me this was not necessary, and that I should remain with Jayson and his family on the mainland, and then catch up with our pilgrims in the Holy Land. It does make me a bit nervous to be away from St. Mark's during Christmas; however, I am confident that all will go well. Coverage has been obtained for all of our Christmas masses. Please keep us in your prayers.

Many blessings to you and your loved ones this Christmas season,

Paul+
