|
Maryville residents have a new place to stay fit and healthy. Merit Construction, Inc. recently completed a complete overhaul of an old grocery store for National Fitness Center featuring high-tech interior amenities, a 10,500-square-foot building addition, improvement of all site utilities and drainage and repaired paving.
The completed building totals 54,017 square feet and features a wide variety of upscale fitness amenities including a free weight area; dedicated rooms for aerobics, spinning, and personal fitness; a basketball court with six goals; and an aquatics area with a 75-foot lap pool with six lanes, a 45-foot therapy pool, spa pool, steam room, and sauna.
Merit's work at National Fitness Center blends fitness with entertainment in a cardio theater room with workout equipment overlooking a 16-foot movie theatre screen, as well as a large, two level cardio workout area overlooking more than twenty 60" LCD flat screen televisions.
Other amenities include a child care area, tanning booth room, massage rooms, juice bar, kids activities rooms, a mind and body room, a women's only gym, a senior gym area with hydraulic assisted equipment, and a senior lounge with fireplace.
In addition to the National Fitness Center building, Merit Construction worked with owners to complete 201 linear feet of existing tenant renovation, including new facade and roofing, as well as a tenant build-out for a neighboring frozen yogurt shop.
"I recommend Merit Construction to anyone looking for a firm that will deliver an excellent building, on time and most importantly within budget. I have been building commercial and special purpose buildings for over 20 years and I have never before experienced the level of service and integrity as I have with Merit Construction. I'm proud to say Merit is my contractor," said John Captain, founder of National Fitness Center.
