Hardin Valley Academy & Renaissance|Farragut Honored

 Two projects built by Merit Construction were recently honored with Orchid Awards by Keep Knoxville Beautiful. Renaissance|Farragut and Hardin Valley Academy were recognized as two of Knoxville and Knox County's most beautiful new developments in an awards ceremony last month.
Developed by Knick and Noah Myers, Renaissance|Farragut is made up of four office/retail buildings totaling approximately 60,000 square feet. Merit Construction completed the development which fronts Kingston Pike in far West Knox County in 2007. The buildings, which are named for Renaissance-era painters, sculptors and other artisans are designed to look like a 19th century downtown with brick and

limestone storefronts.

Hardin Valley Academy is Knox County's newest high school and features 64 classrooms, a 2,100 seat gymnasium, state-of-the-art media center, and facilities for music, fine arts, and outdoor athletics, including a football field with a 3,200 seat stadium, and auxiliary fields for softball, baseball, and soccer. The 275,000-square-foot facility was built by Merit Construction on a 50 acre campus which opened to students in the fall of 2008.
