Co-op Facility Complete in Athens, Tennessee

 Merit Construction, Inc.'s recent completion of the new Valley Farmers Cooperative in Athens, Tenn., means more space and more services for the people of McMinn County and surrounding areas.
The 89,820 square foot building, a design build project, is located at the corner of Congress Parkway and Highway 305 was completed in the Spring of 2010. The new facility includes a greenhouse for local plant and garden materials, as well as an expanded garage with 14 car bays; four of which are large enough for tractor trailer trucks or large farm equipment.
The new facility also features 22,000 square feet of showroom space - more than seven times the amount in their previous building. The expanded showroom allows the store to offer a greatly expanded product line, from lawn and garden supplies to farm and ranch products, and goods for outdoor living.
