Rooms To Go Showroom: A Work of Art
|
Anyone driving through Knoxville on Interstate 40 lately has likely noticed the new Rooms To Go showroom. Located on Kingston Pike in west Knoxville, Merit Construction, Inc. began work on the 41,211 square foot showroom in June and completed the project last month - on time and within budget.
Because of its prime location between busy Kingston Pike and I-40, the new Rooms To Go showroom was designed for maximum visibility. Tall parapets and signage on both sides of the building ensure that it's seen from every angle.
While the exterior finishes were constructed to catch the eye, the interior was built to showcase the Rooms To Go furniture in a comfortable, home-like setting. Natural lighting is plentiful thanks to two large glass curtain walls and skylights in the center of the building. Natural finishes of stone and wood were also used throughout to make the showroom look like a home as much as possible.
The Rooms To Go team was pleased with the successful outcome they achieved by working with Merit. "Rooms To Go strives for building a very high quality facility, and Merit Construction delivered," said Steve Raccuglia, Rooms To Go's senior construction manager.
Merit has extensive experience in buildings of all shapes and sizes including educational facilities, office buildings, industrial, specialty construction, houses of worship, retail and historic renovation projects. For more information, visit www.meritconstruction.com.
