Dear Friends,
Cheryl_July
It is hard to believe that August is just around the corner and that school will begin again soon. As summer winds down, please take advantage of all that Maine has to offer. The agricultural fairs are starting and local farm stands are alive and active with fresh fruits and vegetables. The campgrounds and parks are active and community events are scheduled across the state. We encourage you to get involved and experience the great outdoors!

With the great summer weather, it's a perfect time to socialize with family and friends at the beach, around the barbeque, at camp or in your own backyard. With a strong focus on responsibility and wellness, the MBWDA is working to showcase the positive benefits of living in Maine and buying locally - from retailers here who support the local jobs. We also want to reinforce that each of us shares a responsibility to be safe; whether this means using sunscreen or designating a driver.

Enjoy the rest of summer - after all this is VACATIONLAND.

Sincerely,
Cheryl Timberlake
