Dues Notices being sent out seems to always bring bad news from a Brother's Family. This year our secretary has received the bad news that we have lost two brothers this past year that we did not know about.
Robert E. Gallagher
GALLAGHER Robert "Bob" E. Gallagher, age 89, of Pickerington, passed away on April 30, 2011 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. He was born on May 31, 1921 to the late George and Geneva (Young) Gallagher in Columbus. Bob graduated from The Ohio State University. He was a retired U.S. Army Major and served his country during WWII and in Korea. After his military career, he went to work for ODOT, where he retired. Bob was an active member of the American Legion and a 50-year member of the Free Masons of Ohio. Bob was a train enthusiast. He belonged to the Columbus HO Model Railroad Club, National Model Railroad Association and the Railway Exposition Co. in Covington, Ky. His wife, K. Juanita (Hammond) Gallagher, precedes him in death. Bob is survived by his two loving children, R. Mike Gallagher and Patricia S. Gallagher of Cincinnati; and granddogs, Luci and Katey. Friends may call the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, Reynoldsburg, on Thursday, May 5, 2011 from 1-2 p.m. with a memorial service starting at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Chambers officiating. Johnnie Michael Lewis
LEWIS Johnnie Michael Lewis, 65, of Columbus, OH, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 due to complications of cancer. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH with interment to follow at Pataskala Cemetery, Pataskala, OH. John was born in Gallipolis, OH to the late Lowell and Margaret (Porter) Lewis. He moved to the Pataskala area as a boy. John was a Licking Heights graduate from the class of 1963. John retired from Western Electric/AT&T/ Lucent. John was a member of the IBEW and was also a member of the Masons. John had a love for motorcycles, Ford Trucks and the U.S. Military. He loved pro and college football and college basketball. Ohio State, the Dallas Cowboys, North Carolina Tar Heels and Notre Dame were his favorite teams. John also loved planting flowers in the spring. John had a profound influence on the generation of kids in the mid 70's as he coached little league baseball, football and won many league championships. John is survived by his children, Michael E. (Sherry) Lewis, Marcy D. (Mark) Green; the mother of his children, Judy Lewis, five grandchildren, Miranda (Vanscoy), Andrea and Kyle Lewis, Michaela and Cassidy Green; one great-granddaughter, Gracelyn Vanscoy; brothers, Jerry and William Lewis; sister, Carolyn Edwards; his wonderful loving companion, Angie Dickinson.
