The daughters of WB Wallace Ruskin have asked for a Masonic Service. The request is for Saturday, Sept 24 at 12:30pm, the eulogy starts at 1pm. Location is St Johns Lutheran Church at 2745 W. RuskinRUSKIN Wallace R. Ruskin, age 87, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Wallace was born on August 22, 1924 in Byesville, Ohio to the late Michael and Pauline (Holub) Rushin. He graduated from Central High School in 1942 and The Ohio State University in 1949 where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics Degree. Wallace was a WWII Veteran of the US Army - Air Corps. In retirement he enjoyed teaching at Bible Community Church School and was known as "Mr. R". He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church for 62 years where he served the Lord and devoted his time to the church writing and sharing beautiful scriptures with all. He was a member of the Sunrise Masonic Lodge #783 where he was 32nd degree Master Mason and member of the OES. He enjoyed coming up with his own inventions, and going to the Gillie Community Center to shoot pool with his friends. Wallace will be remembered as an energetic person who lived his life as a Christian. Preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Jamie Rushin; and nephew, Charles Sparks. Survived by his children, Wallace (Pat) Rushin, Constance (Daniel) Robinson, Christine Mattox, Thomas Rushin and Michelle Robinson; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; sister, Audrey Sparks, former wife and sweetheart, Jan Neeb, and many other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Church, 2745 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204 with Pastor Thomas Phillips officiating.
