Obituary for Harold A. Eads

Harold A. Eads, age 92 of Gahanna, died Monday May 23, 2011.A 1937 graduate of East High School, Harold is a WWII, Veteran US Army serving in the Pacific Theatre. He was an automobile mechanic working for over 66 years, beginning with Germain Lincoln-Mercury in 1945 and recently with Germain Toyota. He and Betty are the former owners of the Rag Doll Bar that was located in downtown Gahanna. He is a member Tri-Community VFW Post #4719 and Sunrise Lodge #783 F & AM, He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Eads, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Angela Eads; grandchildren: Peyton Eads, Sydney Eads and Brittany (Chris) Strong, great-grandson Charlie, many nieces and nephews.. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Thursday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel 1051 East Johnstown Road (at Beecher Road) Gahanna, where a Funeral Service with military honors by VFW Post # 4719 will be held at 1pm Saturday May 28, 2011. Mark Dettmer, Funeral Celebrant, officiating. Private family interment. Masonic Service 7:30pm Friday.
