Bro. George Hunter, Jr., age 83 and a 42-year member, died Thursday, 3/17/11. Calling hours will be Sunday, 3/20/11 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm; the family requests a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E Schrock Rd., Westerville. Bro. Hunter was raised in the former Caledonia Lodge. Brethren, please arrive by 7p.m. to prepare for our Brothers' Funeral Service.

George Hunter, Jr., age 83, of Columbus, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, March 17, 2011 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Born October 27, 1927 in Columbus, OH. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Clara Jean (nee Woods), sister, Evelyn Blakesley and grandson, Ryan Richards. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Marjorie (nee Bevelhymer); children, Deborah (Chai) Hunter-Voris, Peggy Richards, Gary (Becky) Hunter and Larry (Marylee) Hunter; grandchildren, Stephanie (Charity) Herrel-Williams, Jamie "Noel" (Adam) Richards-Warfel, Lance (fiance, Meghan Schymanski) Richards, Kyle (Olivia) Hunter and Dylan Hunter; great-grandchild, Reese Hunter; sister, Rexine Vincent; brother-in-law, Robert Blakesley; sister-in-law, Marjorie Bevelhymer; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. George was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Princeton. He retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Co.. Member of Pioneers of America and Sunrise Masoic Lodge #783. He was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman and OSU fan. He wintered for 20 years at Bradenton Tropical Palms in Bradenton, FL. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where service will be held Monday at 10 a.m., Revs. David Redding, Lynn Ransberger and Suzan McCrystal, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Reach Hospice, c/o Ohio Health Foundation, 180 E. Broad Street, Floor 31, Columbus, OH 43215-3707.
