David, I understand that Kermit Sawyer is a member in good standing of your Lodge. I wanted you to know that Kermit is my step dad, I wanted to let you know he had a tumor removed from his bladder last week. He has to go back to the hospital on March 8, for further procedures. PERRIN Walter A. Perrin, age 94, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2001. He was born October 31, 1916 in Waynesburg, PA and spent his early years with his mother, Margaret A. Perrin and lived with his grandparents, Walter and Grace Anderson. He was a graduate of Waynesburg High School, 1934 and Waynesburg College, 1938 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Science. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Harper Saxe, whom he married on December 30, 1939 in Dormont, PA. He is survived by daughter, Margaret (John) Jackim of Port Orange, FL; son, Jerry (Lois Podedworny) Perrin of Georgetown, DE; grandchildren, Walter (Laurie) Jackim of NE, Melissa Jackim of Clintonville, Trever Jackim; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Hannah. Employed by Columbia Gas System on January 1, 1939 in Pittsburgh and retired after 43 years. In April 1973 he was transferred to Columbus, Ohio as manager of Land Services of all distribution companies of Columbia Gas. He was past president of Lion's Club (Waynesburg), American Society of Appraisers (Pittsburgh), Bexley Activities Club, American Right of Way Assoc. (PA, Chapter 9) which he was awarded the Ambros J. Winder Award (1972) as Right of Way "Man of the Year". He was Vice President of National Organization of the American Assoc. of Petroleum Landmen (Fort Worth, TX), National Vice President of the American Right of Way Assn and in 1959 was a founder, a charter member and the 2nd President of the Michael Late Benedum Chapter. He was a resident of Waynesburg, Dormont, Mt. Lebanon and Pittsburgh, PA and Columbus and Bexley, OH. Walter was a member of the Bexley United Methodist Church, Waynesburg Lodge 153 F&AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Right Valley of Pittsburgh, PA, SR/WA Buckeye Chapter 13 of Intl' Right of Way Assoc. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, February 20 at O.R. WOODYARD EAST CHAPEL, 2300 E. Livingston Avenue. Funeral service will be held at the same location at 10 a.m. on Monday and will proceed to Greene County Memorial Park in Waynesburg, PA. Officiating will be Pastor Floyd Stolzenburg. Visit
