Sunrise Lodge officially occupied its new home Saturday with the open
installation of officers. Everything went well from dinner to cake
afterward. There was a problem with overflow parking but we will get things
worked out.
This Tuesday we will continue the theme of "Family Affair" of
our new worshipful master Lucas Hunter when we hold another open meeting and
present 50, 60 and 65 year pins and surprise a DDGM. Open means under the
new alternative opening ritual our family members can be in the lodge when
we open.
Fred Cunningham, 97, will visit us from the Springfield Masonic Community
(formerly the Ohio Masonic Home) and receive his 65 year pin,
Many, many brethren worked many, many hours to get the building ready for
Saturday night. Rather than overlook anyone, we will gather all their names
and publish them later. In the mean time, as my grandmother used to say,
"thanks until you are better paid."
See you Tuesday -- dinner at 6:30 and open ceremony at 7.
