Lucas William Hunter was initiated on Feburary 2, 1999, passed to the degree of fellowcraft on June 1, 1999, and raised to the sublime degree of master mason on June 29, 1999 at East Gate lodge in Gahanna, Ohio. He became a member of the Sunrise officer line in 2005.
Lucas is the Director of Anti-Money Laundering, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and Combating Terrorist Financing Investigations and Operations for Huntington National Bank where he has been employed since 1997. He is a member of InfraGard, an information sharing group between the private sector and the Federal Bureau of Investigations that is dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. He is also an infrastructure Liaison Officer with the Columbus Police Department's Terrorism Early Warning Group.
A strong family is of utmost importance to Lucas. He and his wife, Crissy have been married for over five years.
Together they have two daughters; Isabelle, 3 and Maggie, 6 months.
Lucas has a strong Masonic bloodline starting with his late Great Grandfather, WB William T. Hunter (Marrowbone Lodge, Marrowbone, Kentucky), his late Grandfather Clyde W. Hunter (Linden Lodge and Center Lodge, Central Ohio), and late uncles Robert D. Maggard (Bowling Green 57, Kentucky) and Earl Hunter (Marrowbone Lodge, Kentucky).
His father, David Hunter, brother, James Hunter, and brother-in-law, Brad Higgins are all current Sunrise members.
He has a cousin Print Maggard who also belongs to Bowling Green 57.
