The Resurrection: So What?
Eastertide, 2012
Thursday, April 26

What does the resurrection mean for... My relationship with other believers?

Greetings!

The unique, saving love of Christ, the Good Shepherd, is the primary focus of Sunday's readings. It's probably difficult for contemporary, sophisticated people to think of themselves as sheep-- utterly dependent, not very intelligent animals.  But Jesus said:

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep."

To fully experience the truth of the resurrection-- and the joy of being in Christ-- we will have to allow Him to be the shepherd of our whole lives. How do we do that? Is it possible?

Read up on the Scriptures for this Sunday and let's gather to worship, share, and grow together in our sheep-hood.

PS: Don't forget: Special guest Ken Dean will join us this Sunday to talk about his calling to the Navajo people. Remember that he will also be available for an informal lunch immediately following the worship service.
