Requests for Prayer
Some needs in our community of faith... |
Epiclesis family, we've received this prayer request from Marianne. Let's be remembering Amanda:
We've heard from Amanda and she has been been physically attacked twice now. The moment she called, I saw the enemy's fingerprints all over it. She was in physical pain, but she was also being bombarded with fear that she would be sent home, fear that if that happened she would have somehow failed. We prayed together and that was better, but she is still very sensitive to that kind of spiritual warfare. She really doesn't want to let anyone down, especially God.
I talked to her last night. From what she could make out from the doctor's broken English and the very little Thai she knows, she understands that her ankle is badly sprained. He also gave her pain meds. I asked if she was given crutches and she said no; she can walk on it OK with the wrap and meds.
So from a physical point of view I would ask that folks would pray for a swift healing. She is not scheduled to be home until mid April and there will be lots of travel and walking in three weeks: They will be leaving the University, traveling across Thailand and then spend four weeks in the mountains with villagers.
My other request would be that folks pray that she is spiritually girded up-- that she would sense the presence of the Lord and draw close to Him in every situation and not entertain the lies of the enemy.
Blessings and many thanks for your prayers, Marianne. |

Do you have a prayer request? Share it with us and please indicate whether you'd like it to go to the entire community, or perhaps to a smaller, more private group of intercessors: Email Link for Prayer Requests. One important note: Because of the nature of this online e-mail tool, it takes a little bit of time to produce and send out these notifications. Please also know that it takes several days for a significant number of people to open and read the e-mail. You can always post prayer requests immediately in the prayer request forum at the Epiclesis website.
The Lord be with you! Pastor Chris |
