Disney attracts millions of people to its parks each year. Millions more watch its shows, buy its merchandise, and flock to its animated movies. What makes Disney different from all other competitors?
In The Church Mouse: Leadership Lessons from the Magic Kingdom, a new webinar from the Center for Progressive Renewal based on the book of the same name, Author Christopher Perry examines the best practices and principles that, for years, have separated Disney from others in the entertainment industry and applies these principles to the church.
|
|
|
Webinar participants will gain new insight into intentionally building a church culture, creating excitement, developing leaders, and unleashing the creative potential of all members.
Christopher W. Perry is pastor of Robinson Springs United Methodist Church in Millbrook, Alabama. He holds a D.Min and M.Div from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is the co-author of Learning to Talk Sheep: Understanding Those You Lead (2010) published by The Pilgrim Press.

Liberating Hope: Daring to Renew the Mainline Church, a new webinar from the Center for Progressive Renewal, provides concrete and tangible 21st-century insight to those churches looking to renew their congregations through hope and optimism rooted in the resurrection. Based on the successful work that co-executive directors Michael Piazza and Cameron Trimble have done through The Center for Progressive Renewal, and their new book of the same name, this webinar provides accurate and strategic evidence that the decline of the mainline, progressive church can be slowed and even reversed, despite the challenges it is facing.
MICHAEL S. PIAZZA currently serves as the executive director of Church Renewal and Multiplication for The Center for Progressive Renewal in Atlanta, Georgia. He served as the senior pastor of the Cathedral of Hope during a time of unprecedented growth, and is currently senior pastor of Virginia Highland Church in Atlanta (dually affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC) and Alliance of Baptists. CAMERON B. TRIMBLE is executive director and CEO of The Center for Progressive Renewal. She served as an advisor to the Congregational Vitality and Discipleship Ministry Team of the UCC, and as Associate Conference Minister of Church Development in the UCC's Southeast Conference.
The cost of the webinar is $14.99

PULPIT SUPPLY LIST |
| |
On the KO website resources page is a list of persons willing to serve as supply pastors in our congregations. These folks are willing to fill in when a pastor is on vacation, sabbatical, or attending a continuing education event.
If a pastor is needed for a more long term time of transition in the congregation, please see Rev. Krista Betz for assistance in making those arrangements.
The pastors were very enthusiastic about being included on the list and look forward to the opportunity to come, visit and lead worship with a sister congregation.
