Festival of Jewish Living
Oklahoma City University
April 10, 2011 |
| |
The Wimberly School of Religion is proud to partner with Emmanuel Synagogue to present the Festival of Jewish Living on April 10, 2011.
The open-house format will run from 1-4 p.m. in the Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel on the Oklahoma City University Campus.
At this FREE event you will learn about the major holidays and life festivals of Judaism from Synagogue members, OCU students, and OCU Professors.
This is your opportunity to understand Yom Kippur and Shavuout, among others, and to ask whatever questions you might have at our "Ask the Rabbi" booth. Enjoy treats specific to the various holidays at our café, and shop at our Synagogue gift shop for books and other items not readily found elsewhere.
The Festival is open to anyone who would like to learn more about Judaism. We especially encourage attendance by study groups, youth groups, and confirmation classes. Please put this event on your calendar and plan to join us April 10. Contact Lisa Wolfe at LWolfe@okcu.edu for more information.

Lord, hear our prayers. |

|
I've been in contact with Harry Kasitz, the first director of White Memorial Camp, since annual meeting. Yesterday his care taker Rhonda told me "...his wife, Grace, who is in a nursing home, has refused to take meds and has eaten almost nothing for a week now." This has been weighing on Harry. Please keep them in your prayers.
