MissionWorks! 
MissionWorks! - Our national mission festival is held every other year for any clergy and lay person in the UCC or Disciples congregations. This year it is in Cleveland on October 7 -10.
This inspiring and uplifting networking and mission speech/discussion time with current missionaries and partners, and multi media global music and worship is your Global Ministries highlight. We want to ensure full participation from your conference and ask that you pass this information along to your congregations and individuals to register. Every conference has some people trained as Ministries and Mission Interpreters (MMIs). Did you know there are now nearly 1000 trained UCC and Disciples MMIs?! Click here for a description of the role of MMIs. The training, will be held immediately after the MissionWorks! fest, and is available to any individual passionate about mission and willing to make an intentional commitment to mission presentation and interpretation within their congregation and conference.
Scholarships are available.

RADIO KANSAS
A new line item was added to this year's Central Association budget for advertising.
The association saw a need for pooling resources in getting the word out about the UCC since individual churches may not be able to afford advertisements on their own. As a result Radio Kansas will be airing 55 radio spots over a 31 week period with the following message:
Radio Kansas is funded by the United Church of Christ in central Kansas, where everyone, no matter who they are or where they are on life's journey, is welcomed. More information is available at www.ucc.org.
Their coverage area and demographics match the association's target audience quite well. We hope this campaign will stimulate excitement within the UCC as well since it promotes the God Is Still Speaking campaign message.
Tune in to KHCC 90.1 FM, KHCD 89.5 FM or KHCT 90.9 FM to hear the spot and hopefully see more visitors on Sundays.
