The Money

NVC and Money, with Roberta Wall and the Woodstock Time Bank  Thursday August 20   7:30 pm

"The experience of true wealth comes from sharing, expressing that we have and are enough." Lynn  Twist, the Soul of Money

There seem to be two basic philosophies about how to generate abundance-

***. Who is rich? She or he who is content with their lot.
***   How much money is enough? A little more than you have.

Is it truly possible to have choice about which viewpoint you live and embody in your daily life? Or are we doomed to the same philosophy we grew up with or are fed by our society?  And, either way, is it truly possible to get to a place of choice about money issues? And, is it possible that the more we choose and embody a viewpoint that abundance is a reflection of our inner life, the more we will feel satisfied and connected to abundance?  What are practices we can do, such as gratitude practices, self empathy and choice practices, that really make a difference when you're stressed and scared about money?

More on NVC and Money
Are money issues sources of pain, shame, blame, guilt or depression in your life? Are you keeping your money issues hidden?  Or are you communicating about them in ways that aren't succeeding in meeting your needs for support, understanding and connection?

Nonviolent Communication (NVC), as developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, offers training in the skill and consciousness of Empathy. NVC Empathy practice can be an effective and transformative way of approaching money issues.

Money issues often trigger us into a place where we can't connect to what is really important to us about money; with what we are yearning for on a deeper level.  With the practice of Empathy we offer a deep listening to ourselves and others that reconnects us to what is deeply important and opens possibilities of completely new strategies to meet our needs.

With gratitude for our community and connection, Roberta
