MARKETING TIP:
Request a
Recommendation
Happy customer
I have a checklist I use for when I have a prospect become a client.  One of the items on the list is to connect on LinkedIn (as well as other Social Media platforms). I mark my calendar for 30 days ahead so that following their first retainer period, I am reminded to send  a "Request for Recommendation" on LinkedIn.  You have to weigh out for yourself when you feel confident enough in the services you have provided to KNOW your client will be generous in their praise of you.

Recommendations ARE referrals and they do generate interest. Several potential clients have told me they were interested in working with me simply based on my LinkedIn recommendations.

My clients have been thoughtful in their comments and have been pleased to contribute to the growth of my business in this way.

Greetings!

I hope this finds you well.  As I mentioned in a previous newsletter, my business was featured last month on a local blog called "Spotlight on South Florida Small Business"(click on link to view).  The interview came to me through my participation in a discussion group on LinkedIn.  I have encouraged my newsletter readers to use Social Media and in my opinion, LinkedIn is THE most valuable tool in your arsenal!

I have received incredible feedback on my Social Media presence.  Often when I am speaking with potential clients, I am praised for my own marketing strategies, receiving such comments as, "I love what you have incorporated into your LinkedIn profile" or  "I love how all your links connect so seamlessly to each other and how you have all the buttons on your blog and website, so I can easily navigate to your Facebook page and your Twitter profile".  In response to these types of comments, I am pleased to announce that I have added Social Media Set-up and Administrative Services to my menu of Virtual Assistant Services.

COMING SOON!  In response to recent requests, I am in the process of adding a shopping cart to my website.  You will soon have the ability to purchase Social Media Set-Up Services, Social Media Administrative Services and General Administrative Services directly from  my website.  All pricing will be posted and relevant options will be provided, so you will be able to customize a package  that will suit your business needs.  You will receive notification when the cart is uploaded to my site.  In the meantime, please email me to request my current rates.

I am also pleased to announce that I am now offering a FREE Social Media Strategy Checklist. If you have enjoyed the Marketing Tips in the left column of my newsletter, you will find great benefit from having this checklist. Topics include strategies for Blogging, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Newsletter, and Event Promotion.  This checklist will be offered  as a free add-on in my shopping cart when complete, but if you would like to receive a copy now, please email me your request.
Achieve Better Results for Your Business

Achieving better results in your business lies in asking yourself better questions. With great confidence you will be able to figure out the solution to any obstacle. Keep in mind it's as important to tap into the skills and experience you already have as it is to be willing to learn new skills along the way. Ideas for your business can come from anywhere. Start by asking yourself these questions and you will soon begin elevating your success.

  1. Do you have goal clarity? Decide exactly what you want from your business.  But be mindful that you will seldom be motivated by money alone.
  2. Do you have a good plan? Plans can always be revised, but if you project toward a vision for your future, the steps you take to get there will be more fully realized.
  3. Have you set solid deadlines? A deadline to quadruple your income in the next six months is probably not realistic and you will be setting yourself up for disappointment. Give yourself enough time to achieve all your goals.
  4. Are you prepared for setbacks? Setbacks are part of the journey. But if you are able to handle them as they arise, the journey will be much easier.
  5. Have you broken your large goals into smaller manageable tasks? The best way to manage a large goal is to write down where you want to be and work backwards. Celebrate your small successes as you move closer toward your larger goals.
  6. How motivated are you about your goals and your business? Are you mentally prepared to do whatever it takes? It's not always easy, but the biggest rewards come when you stretch and move beyond your fears and self-doubt.
  7. Are you trying to do it alone? There is help available for you to grow all areas of your business, but you need to ask. Surround yourself with people who can help support you through your weaknesses. There is so much more you can accomplish with a little help.  A Virtual Assistant can work with you to formulate ideas and help you to  solidify your success.

Ultimately, if you examine each of these questions carefully and you are dedicated to delivering the highest quality services or products to your clients, you will be successful in creating a business that will continue to flourish.
