It Was a Wild Ride!
|
 | Nature of Words, Bend, Oregon |
I walked the red carpet at the NAACP Image Awards, chatted with Terry McMillan in a live webcast (hear the audio of the interview here), received exciting endorsements, and spoke on a CNN Dialogues panel hosted by Wolf Blitzer. I criss-crossed the country and racked up almost 150,000 miles with visits to almost everywhere--Grand Cayman; Boone, NC; Cape Girardeau, MO; Wichita, KS; Manasquan, NJ--just to name a few. Thanks to you--and the great team at Algonquin & Workman--lots of readers found The Girl Who Fell From the Sky when it came out in paperback driving it onto the New York Times bestseller list for a spell as well as the national Indie Bestseller list for almost a year. Most importantly, I met readers who shared with me their own moving stories, and I met and re-connected with so many writers I admire! |
