The Girl Who Fell From the Sky : LA Times Bestseller!
|
Greetings!
I was thrilled to learn that The Girl Who Fell From the Sky hit the LA Times Bestseller List this week! The book is also now in its 4th printing! It's surreal! I am just so incredibly grateful that the story is reaching a wide audience. And I'm moved by the lovely messages I've received from readers. Thank you all! |
Book Tour Update
|
In the last few weeks, my book appearances took me to Texas (twice), New York, and Oregon where I did my first LIVE TV interview on AM-NW in Portland. Even Grandma got some camera time! See the video here.
The reviews continue to roll in too. I hope you'll consider adding to the buzz with your own endorsement of the book. Write a review on Amazon! Write a review on Goodreads.com. Tell your friends!

Reading 6/13 at 3:30pm Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival Los Angeles, CA
|
If you're in LA, I would love to see you this Sunday, June 13 at 3:30pm. I'll be reading at the 3rd annual Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival at the Japanese American National Museum, 369 E. 1st Street, in downtown LA.
The Festival is a project I started with my friend Fanshen Cox in 2008. The Festival celebrates stories of the Mixed experience. Our mission is to create a forum for other artists telling stories about the connectedness of different cultures, races and backgrounds.
The two-day free annual event includes a Target Free Family Day with activities and storytelling, readings, screenings and talks. This year we are particularly excited to have Dr. Maya Soetoro-Ng, scholar/writer & President Obama's sister, headline our Loving Prize Presentation on June 13 at 7:30pm. Please check out the complete schedule here.
I also have upcoming appearances in D.C., Michigan, Vermont, Portland, OR, and New Orleans. Check out the complete tour schedule & details on my website here.
