Barbara Kingsolver and Heidi Durrow

That's me and Barbara Kingsolver!  I was thrilled to meet her recently and thank her in person for establishing the Bellwether Prize and for picking The Girl Who Fell From the Sky as the 5th winner, and frankly, for changing my life.  She was so amazing!  Read more about the evening here.

A Special Gift For You
Book Cover with W
I'm looking forward to seeing you all in the new year as I make my way around the country sharing my book, The Girl Who Fell From the Sky (Algonquin Books Feb. 2010).  You can see the  complete schedule below.

If you don't live in one of the towns I'll be visiting, I would still love to sign your book.  It's a special gift from me to thank you for supporting me and my work.

Just send me a self-addressed stamped envelope, and I'll send you a signed, personally inscribed bookplate you can place in the front of your book!  (My buddy Benjamin of Zerflin Design did a great job designing this!  My scan of it doesn't do the color justice.)
