Besides the multitude of newly unemployed and uninsured, the nonprofits trying to serve them are probably the hardest hit by this economic recession. "Many LA nonprofits are facing a 'perfect storm' of challenges: demand for services has increased, funding has decreased, and fallout from the CA budget crisis adds to financial instability," says David Greco, VP, Western Region, Nonprofit Finance Fund.

This month we launched our 2009 fall campaign to raise money and awareness for the Los Angeles Christian Health Centers. Our goal is to raise $30,000 and 500 new donors by January 2010.
