U.S. New and World Report Ranks Capitol
This past week, Capitol received news that its online graduate engineering program was ranked No. 43 in the country in the category "Student Services and Technology," by U.S. News and World Report.
The rankings for top online graduate engineering programs took into account the following factors: 24/7 live tech support, live tutoring, smartphone applications and live-streaming video. Capitol's graduate program outranked many large schools nationwide, and was one of just three Maryland schools to make the list
"We are pleased to be recognized for our innovation in education technology and our leadership in providing services to our students, both hallmarks of a Capitol higher education," Dr. Michael T. Wood, president, said.

Meet Dean Helen Barker
If you've taken classes on campus or even online, you've likely met or spoken with Dr. Helen Barker, Dean of the School of Business and Information Sciences.
Having worked at Capitol since 2000, Barker continues to make her presence felt on campus both in the undergraduate and graduate programs, where she is always available for her students.
"What I enjoy the most about what I do is watching the students grow personally and academically over the four years," Barker said. "There is tremendous satisfaction in sharing their 'aha' moments." Read the full interview with Dr. Barker. |
