The Capitol Community welcomed Lockheed Martin to campus as the company donated $20,000 in support of the Center for Space Science and Education and Public Outreach's (SSEPO) Emerging Stem Leaders Workshop Series. The Cyber Battle Lab Outreach Program will also benefit from the donation.

Capitol students demonstrated several real-world cybersecurity scenarios, including the response to hacker attacks, for the Lockheed Martin representatives. With their donation, Lockheed Martin has further helped Capitol students prepare for careers in STEM fields. Click here for the full story.

Tech Mania Hosted at Capitol

TechManiaOn Nov. 12, nearly 200 students came to Capitol's campus for the sixth Tech Mania event hosted by The Fort Meade Alliance. The event was created to boost high school students' interest in STEM fields, and students from Anne Arundel, Howard and Prince George's Counties were in attendance.

Various colleges, federal agencies and businesses have hosted the event, and Capitol was thrilled to invite budding students to come and experience exciting and innovative technologies first hand. The hands-on activities and engaging presentation were enjoyed by all who attended.
