We witnessed God move in a mighty way at Future
Quest. Some kids were overwhelmed emotionally and many adults as well. Let's
pray that the experiences we had at Future Quest AZ will find "good ground" in
the hearts of those who were impacted by this event. In other words, let's pray
that everyone take what they gained from this experience and apply it - not
lose it. Take a minute and pray right now...

A Word of Encouragement
Romans 1: 16 (NKJV)
For I am not
ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for
everyone who believes...
Paul wasn't afraid to go to Rome, the center of
paganism and idolatry in the "civilized" world of his day. Some people were
intimidated by Roman culture, others just didn't want to stand out and some
were genuinely afraid of the consequences of standing up as a believer which
could mean social disgrace, loss of opportunity and even death. It is the same
in our world today. Every day we are bombarded by a cultural expectation to
blend in. We are told that the exclusiveness of Jesus' claim to be the only way
to God is intolerance, bigotry - or even evil. Whole denominations have
"re-interpreted" their teachings out of fear of being labeled "intolerant".
They show themselves to be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ when they try
to re-write it in the image of our culture of tolerance. But tolerance does NOT
mean to accept every idea as being of equal truth. Tolerance means "the act of
allowing something". God is very tolerant but that does not mean He will not
confront lies! The Bible calls this Godly tolerance "longsuffering". He has
tolerated rebellion and sin against truth for a long time but His tolerance has
a limit. Eventually the consequence of rebellion against God will be felt - in
this life and the next. So - while we as Christians should not COMPEL anyone to
believe as we do or worship as we do that does NOT mean keeping quiet about the
truth of God. We should not accept Satanic lies that masquerade as religion as
being of equal truth to the Bible, especially the teachings of Jesus Christ. We
should not be ashamed to preach this openly, consistently and without fear
wherever and whenever possible - especially through the example of how we
conduct our lives everyday. |
Future Quest
The dust settles. We are overjoyed that at
least 5 other churches were represented in the kids that came to Future Quest.
We are thrilled that the altar call on Monday night was a moving example of
young people on their faces in repentance before that Lord. We are excited that
kids were able to experience vibrant worship and energetic concerts showing
them how much fun a disciple of Jesus can have without the immorality the world
tries to offer them. We want to learn as much as
we can so that next year's Future Quest is even better and bigger - but first
we have to wrap up this year's event. We still have to raise about $900 to cover
the cost of the facility. So far we've been able to cover all of the other
expenses. If you would like to help
financially, you can donate using PayPal from our main website (www.146church.com) or by contacting the
church office at 623-252-1460. Thank you.
