FUTURE QUEST AZ IS HERE!
God has answered so many prayers, opened so many doors - we've got what we need to make Future Quest AZ happen. But we also have an enemy who DOES NOT want kids to be blessed by this event. He will do whatever he can to sow seeds of discord, animosity, glitches and so forth. In addition, he will try to keep kids from coming to the event. But "we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood" so we're asking YOU to pray your little heart out that God will draw kids into Future Quest, that He will soften hearts to the message God sows into their lives and that our financial and physical needs to put this even together will be met. Often times, God begins a great work in a small way. This is as true in ministry as it is in our personal lives. We know that Future Quest AZ will not be the 2,000 person event that it is in California on our first effort. We need to remember and understand this principle in our personal lives as well. So often we think that God needs to hurry up and get the job done when it comes to fixing our issues. But God has a reason for small beginnings, and if we can grasp the reason it will go a long ways toward developing our trust in His program for our lives. Come on out this Sunday as we explore Mark 4: 30 - 34 with a message called "Small beginnings"...See ya Sunday.

A Word of Encouragement
 Isaiah 55: 11
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
The rain and snow fall for a purpose - to water the earth, to make the plants grow and to provide for the food needs of men. So it is with God's Word which we have in the Bible. Too often people see the Bible as an instruction manual or a list of do's and don'ts. The Bible certainly does have instruction in it and there is no doubt it contains do's and don'ts - but it is far more than these things. It has a purpose from God Himself to water the hearts of men so that they will grow and provide life. This purpose will be fulfilled. While there are certainly people who harden their hearts, refuse to be affected by God's word and will not be blessed, there are also those who are willing. God's word will have an effect, the issue is: will it have an effect in my life? Will I soften my heart to receive it? If I do, I can be assured it will accomplish His mighty purpose. |

PLEASE bring any donations (specifically folding tables, seating stuff for the green room, power cords, power strips, cleaning supplies, etc.) for Future Quest to church on Sunday June 27. We can collect everything except the furniture in the auditorium next to the refreshments table. Any couches, love seats, etc. can be brought into the main hallway after church and we will stage those in the back of the auditorium.

Children's Ministry
 In June, we're teaching on the topic of "responsibility". We all have issues teaching our children to be responsible so this is a great month to have your kids involved on a Sunday morning.
