Prayer Corner
My
friend Barry Young has planted West Coast Christian Fellowship in
Carlsbad, California. Recently, West Coast was able to lease the
Women's Club of Carlsbad as a place to meet. We sympathize with all
our hearts on what it takes to plant a church :) and we know Barry needs lots of prayer support....take a moment and
pray right now for Barry, his wife Barb and that God will pour out
His favor on West Coast Christian Fellowship.

This Coming Sunday, July 26, 2009
It's
amazing how hard some people will work for a cause. They believe
their cause is worthy of sacrifice but they also believe that given
enough sacrifice they will see a solution to whatever they are
protesting. The Bible teaches us that the cause of Jesus Christ is
worth everything, even our physical lives, NOT so much to see the
world change but for a hope that is beyond this life entirely. This
is so because a world with sin will never be completely healed until
sin is totally removed. So ours is rather a Hope of Glory. Come on
out July 26th,
2009to
hear "Hope of Glory'
as we continue learning from the book of Colossians and look at Colossians 1: 24 - 29.
See ya Sunday....
Coming up....
-
August 2 - Colossians 2: 1 - 10 "Beware
the empty words"
-
August 9 - Colossians 2: 11 - 15
"Relationship vs. Religion"

A Word of Encouragement
II
Samuel 22:32
For
who is God, save the Lord? And who is a rock, save our God?
God is
real. He is not a philosophy or an abstract concept. He is not
unknown. When David says "who is God, save the Lord" he is asking
a rhetorical question - a question that has an obvious answer.
There are many concepts of God and gods but the God who is real, the
Lord almighty, has revealed Himself through His miracles, through His
people, through His prophets and His word. He has proven Himself
utterly dependable, unlike the false gods of the heathen. The false
gods were capricious, self-centered and unpredictable but the God who
is real is a rock. He is solid, unchanging, dependable and true. When
we meditate on this we can find a deep sense of well-being but it's
so easy to let the fears of lay offs and tottering economies
overwhelm us with a sense of dread. So let's remember that the God
who revealed Himself with a mighty hand when He took the people of
Israel out of Egypt long ago will carry us through when we trust Him.
Our God is a rock - and you can depend on Him.

Operation New Neighbor
From Tim:
Our
first mailers have gone out!!! Our volunteers were able to handwrite
and stuff a total of 422 letters which went out in the mail on
Monday, July 20.
Now it
is time to pray. There are many people who have just moved to this
area who NEED CHRIST!! I am calling all FourteenSix members to pray
daily over these letters, and to diligently prepare our hearts to
love on these people when they come in to visit FourteenSix. John
14:6 says "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through me." There are many who need to hear this
important truth. Amen!!
I would
like to send a special thank you out to all of our volunteers. You
guys are doing a great job! Also, a special thank you to Kyle Sanford
who took it upon himself to help organize the bulk mail process. He
has been a tremendous help to me!
God
Bless,
Tim

Vision
God has
led us to found FourteenSix on the concept of discipleship - it's
all about developing a real relationship with the real God in real
ways. All of our programs surround this concept (best laid out in
Matthew 28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples....") To this end
we are planning a youth conference based on the Future Quest Youth
Conference in San Diego that we have faithfully attended in the past.
To transplant this type of conference requires attracting influential
speakers - and God has opened the door to two of the best: Bill
Wilson of Metro Ministries in New York and Mark Hoffman founder of
Youth Venture in San Diego have both confirmed themselves as
speakers. This is HUGE. Look forward to more announcements about this
visionary event that we plan to have (Lord willing) June 28 - 30,
2010. Stay tuned.
