| Pulling For Kids | |
We all need an excuse to have a little fun. How many chances will you have to pull a huge passenger plane with nothing but your physical strength? Put a team together for our first ever Pull-a-Palooza and that chance will be yours. And the best part is this will help provide a home-away-from-home at the Ronald McDonald House for a seriously ill child and their family.
This exciting new event will take place on Saturday, June 30th at Rickenbacker Airport in Columbus, Ohio. It's free for teams to participate in Pull-A-Palooza. However, we ask that each team member raise at least $200 (or $4,000 for the entire team) to participate. With the funds raised, each team will help the Ronald McDonald House provide 40 nights for families with seriously ill children. That's a tremendous impact on a family when they need it most.
Teams are made up of 16-20 people. Anyone can field a team. You don't need to be a heavy lifter to come out and pull. The competition is made for just about anyone.
Here is how you can get involved:
- Step 1 - Contact Jamie Foltz at 614-227-3740 or email Jamie.Foltz@RMHC-CentralOhio.org to get the Registration Form.
- Step 2 - Rally 19 of your friends to join your team.
- Step 3 - Start fundraising!
Please contact Jamie Foltz at Jamie.Foltz@RMHC-CentralOhio.org or 614-227-3740 for more details.

A Letter of Thanks From a Ronald McDonald House Guest
| Dear Ronald McDonald House,
I want to say a huge thank you to anyone associated with the Ronald
McDonald House. This place has been a lifesaver for my family and I for the last 6 weeks. I had twins who were born prematurely and have had a 46-day hospital stay (NICU). Without the RMH I would have had to spend most of these days away from my babies because I would not have been able to afford a place to stay.
The Ronald McDonald House has been my home-away-from-home fro more than 6 weeks. The staff and volunteers always go out of their way to help in any way they can - whether it's replacing your windshield wipers for you or being a listening ear.
Keep up the good work! My family and I cannot thank you enough!
Sincerely,
The Godsey Family

Brand New Beds For The Ronald McDonald House
| This past month, we were blessed with a tremendous donation of 160 brand new beds for the Ronald McDonald House from Tempur-Pedic, one of the global partners of Ronald McDonald House Charities. The beds were delivered to the House on April 19, along with bed frames and platforms for the mattresses.
Believe it or not, we were able to remove the old beds and install the new beds in the span of only a few hours. How did that happen, you wonder? Volunteers came through once again for the Ronald McDonald House. Our friends from Cardinal Health, CarMax, Limited Brands, Best Buy, Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity, and other great local organizations came to the House ready to work. And work they did - hard. As you can imagine, transporting that many beds in and out of each of our 80 guest rooms was a taxing effort. But because of the hard work and dedication of our amazing volunteers, the job was finished ahead of schedule.
Our guests enjoyed a restful sleep that same evening without any gap in services at the Ronald McDonald House. We wish to thank Tempur-Pedic and all of our wonderful volunteers for their generous support of our mission.

This past weekend, the good people of The Estates at New Albany held their annual "Splash Day" to kick off the pool season at their property. This year's event was a fundraiser to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Pictured here are a few of the brave residents who took the first plunge of the year. Thank you to the people of Village Green for their support of our mission. What a splash!

| Donate Your Car, Truck, Boat, RV, Motorcycle or Tractor |
 | | 1 Car = 1 Week | Ever wonder how a vehicle can help a family at the Ronald McDonald House? Watch this video "1 Car = 1 Week" to see how your unwanted vehicle turns into much needed funds to operate the House. The process is very simple. We handle all of the paperwork and pick up your vehicle for free. Even if your vehicle hasn't worked for several years, it is still valuable to us.
You can donate your car, truck, boat, RV, motorcycle, boat, or tractor to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. The auction proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle will provide, on average, one week at the Ronald McDonald House for a seriously ill child and their family.
