We continue our TV fundraising drive on Channel 7.4 this week, and present another episode of our monthly Hometown series on 7.1. It's an exciting week for WJCT kids, with Joan Rivers reprising her role as "Bubby" on a new Arthur episode and the Super Readers kicking off our summer literacy initiative with a one-hour global adventure on Super Why! Also for kids: One June 22 and 23, WJCT is hosting screenings of The Muppet Movie - the original 1979 classic. Kids can sing along, meet PBS Kids characters, and have a great time! More. Great news! Hot off a winning season of Dancing with the Stars, Tom Bergeron will host this year's star-studded Capitol Fourth concert, the annual celebration of our nation's birthday! Radio news: Weekend Edition Sunday host Rachel Martin will be on maternity leave this summer, after hosting on June 17. While she's gone, you'll hear David Greene and Linda Wertheimer. Song Travels with Michael FeinsteinPremieres tonight at 9pm on 89.9 Five-time Grammy nominated performer Michael Feinstein sits down with a diverse array of artists such as Bette Midler, Joshua Bell, Thomas Lauderdale (Pink Martini) David Hyde Pierce and Liza Minnelli. Together they explore American popular song and the intimate journey singers and songs take with one another, each changing the other through the course of a lifetime.
