GRAHAM METSON EXHIBITContinues until February 25 |
Metrospective
Fifty years of drawings and paintings, presented by the Oeno Gallery in partnership with the John M. Parrott Art Gallery at the Parrott Gallery, 254 Pinnacle Street, Belleville. Born in 1934, Metson was part of the 60s Pop bravado of British art. He has been exhibited in Europe, the US and Canada, engendering debate, controversy and fierce fans.
"Metson's projects, his drawings, photomontages and paintings, are like topographies of the technological era he lives in. The ambiguity and paradox we see is wholly intentional...It's about the times we live in." John K. Grande

Oeno Gallery's booth at the International Design Show 2010, held in Toronto from January 21 - 24, was a whirlwind. The works we brought attracted a constant flow of designers, consumers, art consultants and renovation specialists and earned us a special note in the Toronto Star newspaper's "Living" section. Oeno has also caught the eye of "Homefront", the Canadian magazine for design and quality living. The publication's winter 2009 issue includes a page on "County Culture", featuring Huff Estates and The Oeno Gallery.
