CONTINUING UNTIL DECEMBER 1 Upper Gallery: Addendum - New work by Sylvain Louis-Seize Lower Gallery: New work by Etienne Labbé
|
Sylvain Louis-Seize
New work by Sylvain Louis-Seize continues his compelling exploration of various landscape themes. Rugged and monumental, his recent shows in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto have attracted many new collectors to his work.
"I do not paint landscapes to be beautiful, nor to have a message but more for the viewer to contemplate the image and for the painting to evoke an emotion, question or connection".
- Sylvain Louis-Seize, 2008
|
Etienne Labbé
Etienne Labbé's abstract photographs explore speed and movement, the fleeting manner in which we often perceive the beauty that surrounds us.

Sylvain Louis-Seize & Etienne Labbé's Opening Receptio n
For those of you who were not able to make it out to our Jazz at the Gallery & Artists Talk event on October 19, here is a taste of what you missed! Sylvain Louis-Seize and Etienne Labbé discussed their work, vocalist Alex Samaras and guitarist Tavis Weir performed delightful interpretations of old and new jazz favourites, and delicious local food and wine was served. Oeno's salon nights will continue at our new location in 2009. All friends of Oeno Gallery are invited to come out and enjoy the events.
