Vote for Barack Obama
and Vote the Straight Democratic Ticket

Obama Biden
Senator Barack Obama and Senator
Joe Biden

We know you're going to vote on Tuesday, and we couldn't be more appreciative!  Your vote for Senator Barack Obama will help insure that America will start back on the right path.  With your help, Senator Obama can begin to restore America's place in the world, to rebuild our economy, to steer us towards energy independence, to strengthen the middle class, and to restore hope and opportunity for all Americans.

But we need one more thing from you.
Barack Obama cannot do it all by himself.  In order for him to lead effectively through these difficult times, we need quality legislators.  Senator Obama needs you to vote for Democratic candidates down the ticket on both the National and State levels.  Barack Obama needs for you to elect the Democratic candidates who will put the people first and pass the meaningful legislation that is needed right now.

So, along with Barack Obama, we are asking you to vote the straight Democratic ticket on Tuesday.  Not only is voting the straight Democratic ticket the right thing to do, it is also safe and easy.  All you need to do is darken the oval in the 'Straight Party' box next to the word 'Democratic.'  (Note that there is also a referendum question on the ballot that you will also want to vote on.)

In spite of some rumors that have been circulated, voting straight party is safe and effective, and does not in any way jeopardize your vote.

You can, of course, choose to vote for individual candidates on the ballot, but we recommend you vote Straight Democratic in order to have the most impact. Not only will you help elect outstanding individuals, but you will give Barack Obama much needed support across the board.

History will inevitably judge the performance of our leaders through these crucial, pivotal times.  And history will also judge our society based on the leaders we choose.  We must do the right thing.  So please vote, vote for Barack Obama, vote the straight Democratic ticket, and encourage your friends to do the same!
Tax Cut Facts

Barack Obama has been consistently stating that he will not raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year and that workers making less than $200,000 a year will get a tax cut under his plan.  Yet many people are still confused by the misinformation that is being circulated about the Obama Tax Plan.

The Obama campaign has created a calculator that should clear things up.   This great tool allows taxpayers to compare the effects of the proposed tax policies of Obama and McCain based on their individual situations.  Check it our here to see how each candidate's policy would affect your personal tax situation.
Don't Give up Your Vote!

There are people on the other side who would love to have you stay home and not vote.  Don't let them have their way.

· If you registered to vote, even at the deadline, you have the right to vote. Even if you did not yet receive your voter card in the mail, you should report to the polls.  If you are voting for the first time at your precinct, you must carry ID.

· If you are in line by 8:00pm, you have the right to vote.  Even if there is a long line at the 8:00 closing time, everyone who gets in line by that time must be allowed to vote.

· You have the right to vote even if you have debts, unpaid bills, parking tickets or overdue taxes.

· If you have questions about your right to vote, contact the Obama campaign at 1-877-572-6226.
